DAY 1:  Sapa - Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van (B/L/D)

The train arrive around 5h30 to 6h00 am in the morning. Our driver will pick us up to Sapa around 1 house on the way to get these,

Having a breakfast and resting at my friend hotel (buffet breakfast)

We meet the guide at the hotel and drive by private vehicle to Y Linh Ho village. From the main road, walk to the village of the black H'mong people and see their traditional clothing made of hemp canvas dyed in a deep indigo blue and decorated with batik flowers. Have a friendly chat with the locals to understand how they maintain their traditional customs and way of life before the hasty development of society.

Follow a dirt road to Muong Hoa Valley and enjoy the spectacular scenery of terraced fields, vegetable gardens and green hills. The largest terraced rice paddy in Sa Pa is also located here. If you travel between July and September, the time of planting and harvesting, you have a great chance to see local farmers in action. Stop at a local H'mong family in Lao Chai Village to chat with family members and understand their traditional way of life and customs. Notice how their homes are typically built without windows due to the cold of winter.

Traditional production of colorful rice with the H'mong family in Lao Chai village.Be prepared for a hands-on experience of making traditional colorful rice, following the enthusiastic guidance of the host. The whole process of making traditional colorful sticky rice is also an opportunity for the family to get together. Learn how to extract colors from natural material (flowers, leaves...), dye rice and cook it. Enjoy lunch with your creation in a relaxed atmosphere surrounded by mountains and terraced fields.

Continue your exploration to Ta Van village, home to the Zay people, originally from China and known for their unique cultural costume, which is simpler than other ethnic groups, less embroidered and only colored bands around the neck and lapels. Have your camera ready during the hike to snap beautiful panoramic photos of the endless rice fields and the traditional hill tribe village where the locals work.

DAY 2: Giang Ta Chai - Cat Cat Village (B/L)

Breakfast at the homestay

08:30 tour guide and your will do the trek to the Giang Ta Chai village to see the bamboo mountain and relax at the food of the stunning waterfall, Enjoy picnic lunch by the side of the river by yourself.

After lunch transfer back to SAPA

Visit Cat Cat Village for an overview of the traditional customs and culture of the black H'mong ethnic minority. Check out a remaining water station nearby, built by the French during colonial times, and cross a beautiful suspension bridge to cross the Muong Hoa stream. Arrive at the meeting point where your private vehicle will be waiting for you for the return transfer to the city of Sapa.
